Reliable and efficient MOSFETs are well suited for Quality Assurance programs in IMRT, where the measured dose is checked against the treatment plan.
Due to their small size and excellent isotropic response, MOSFETs can be positioned in standard or custom-built phantoms for verification of the IMRT QA treatment plan. This can be done with single dosimeters or with arrays of up to 20.
